Thomas Barry '62, CEO & President of Zephyr Management, will speak about "Beyond University School."

Join us this year as Thomas Barry '62, CEO & President of Zephyr Management, L.P., will speak about "Beyond University School - How and Why to Fail." All alumni and guests are invited to join Head of School Patrick Gallagher for breakfast after the talk.
Tom Barry is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Zephyr Management, L.P., an investment management company which he founded in 1994. Zephyr has sponsored twenty-two specialized investment funds with approximately US $2 billion in committed capital. Zephyr’s private equity funds have invested in Mexico, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Africa and India. Zephyr also has sponsored marketable securities funds that invested in the stock markets of developing countries.
Prior to founding Zephyr, Tom was President and CEO of Rockefeller & Co., the investment management arm of the Rockefeller family, from 1983 to 1993. Previously, Tom was employed by T. Rowe Price Associates, Inc. from 1969 to 1982, where among other responsibilities he was President of T. Rowe Price New Horizons Fund and Director of Research.
Tom received an MBA from Harvard Business School in 1969 and an undergraduate degree from Yale University in 1966 where he majored in Latin American Studies. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
Tom is currently a Director for the Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company and is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. He is a Trustee of the Hotchkiss School in Connecticut and University School in Ohio. Tom also serves on the Yale University President’s Council on International Affairs and the Dean’s Council for Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government.
