The Rocketry Team has advanced to the next stage in the NASA Student Launch Initiative (SLI) Competition. The team passed their preliminary design review with NASA engineers. Representing the team on the virtual presentation were Isaac Duncan ’24, Liam Monaghan ‘24, Phineas Quigley ’25, and Ben Hoffman ’25.
The initial design of their experiment and science payload was approved, and they are cleared to prepare for the next milestone, the critical design review. This NASA SLI is a college- level challenge, and the students were complimented by NASA for not only presenting their mission in a professional way, but also for answering questions with a clear indication that they understand all aspects of the challenge.
The team was invited to apply to this college-level program because of their 15th-place finish in the American Rocketry Challenge last May. Congratulations!
