Student Musicians Shine

Congratulations to our talented musicians for their achievements from the Ohio Music Education Association at the competition in March.

Michael Zhang '27 earned a Superior Rating for his Piano Solo Performance at the OMEA District Solo & Ensemble competition and, during assembly, received a certificate and an OMEA Medal of Honor.

Zach Cimoroni '26 also received his award for his recent performance as a percussionist for the All-State Jazz Band and in the All-State Choir, performing at the OMEA State Conference.

A special recognition to Jaidan Shauf-Dressman ’29 (trombone), Aneesh Tamaskar ’29 (clarinet), Liam Taylor ’29 (tuba), and Jax Wolf ’30 (clarinet) for their performance with the OMEA District 7 Middle School Honor Band.

In February, several of our students showcased their musical talents at the Ohio Music Education Association (OMEA) Professional Development Conference.

The 4th and 5th grade Flying Mallets were featured as an Elementary Ensemble; Jaidan Shauf-Dressman '29 and Hamish Waters '30 performed with the Cleveland Orchestra Children’s Chorus; and Zach Cimoroni '26 was selected to perform with the All-State Jazz Ensemble.
