Student Musicians Earn Ohio Music Education Association (OMEA) Honors
Julian Berger '24 was selected as the solo guitarist in the OMEA All-State Jazz Ensemble. The 17-piece big band, comprised of students from across Ohio, performed in February at the OMEA Annual Professional Development Conference in Columbus.
Well done to seventh-grade bassoonist Will Bach who represented US at the OMEA District 7 Middle School Honor Band. In March, Will joined other local middle school musicians to rehearse and perform with music educator and composer Dr. Barry Kopetz.

Last but not least, four Upper School students competed in the OMEA Solo & Ensemble Contest in March. Michael Zhang '27, Nicky DiTirro ’25, Rosco Tin ’26, and Nicholas Bricker '26 (not pictured) all earned a 1 (Superior) rating for their piano solos in the contest.
