Students' Works Featured in "Albricias"

Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica's student magazine published videos by Justice Arai '24, Aidan Krishnaney '25, and Vishwum Kapadia '25.

The issue of Albricias focuses on fashion, and the students' works revolved around that theme: Justice created a video in Spanish describing the innovative practice of making leather out of cacti to create sustainable clothing, Aidan's video describes Duck Tape's annual competition to design prom clothing out of duct tape, and Vishwum's created a video addressing the cultural appropriation of huipiles, a traditional embroidered garment used by women in Guatemala, by the fashion industry.

 

Both Justice and Vishwum earned a "Best of Albricias" prize. Vishwum was awarded first place in the multimedia category, and Justice was awarded third place in the multimedia category.
