Houses Vie for Founders' Day Victory

Blue skies and sunshine set the stage for a vibrant day of camaraderie and spirited competition at the 2024-25 Founders’ Day. Students from Kindergarten through Grade 12 gathered at the Hunting Valley Campus athletic fields to kick off the day with an opening ceremony, featuring speeches from Head of School Patrick Gallagher and the House Prefects.

Grades 5-12 then participated in a variety of exciting events, including tug-of-war, skillshot, obstacle challenges, capture the flag, and battleball. After the final egg was tossed, Cruikshank House emerged victorious, claiming the coveted Founders’ Day Cup!

Meanwhile, the Lower School hosted their own celebrations. Junior Kindergarten and Kindergarten students enjoyed Buddy Mini-Founders’ Day, led by their 5th-grade buddies. Grades 1-4 participated in the Lower School Founders’ Day, guided by 8th-grade House Captains and Senior Prefects, ensuring a day full of fun and teamwork for the youngest members of the community.

The House system and Founders’ Day exemplify the school’s commitment to fostering connections, collaboration, and a shared spirit across all divisions.
