Upper School Winter Concerts Dazzle

Conducted by Director of Music Mr. Devon Steve ’13, the Chamber Players, Glee Club, A Capella, and Upper School Orchestra showcased their talents in the annual Winter Concert. This year’s show was titled “With Warmth and Hope”, such feelings we hope to all enjoy together in community during this holiday season. Some selections included the Glee Club’s rendition of Coldplay’s “Fix You”, Bill Wither’s “Lovely Day”, and the singing of the “Boar’s Head Carol” a longtime US holiday concert tradition. For their part, the Orchestra played pieces from Mozart and the Trans-Siberian Orchestra, before singing a holiday medley together with the audience.

The 2024 Holiday Jingle Jam featured the US Jazz Ensemble directed by Mr. David Kay, which premiered a new composition written by group pianist Ian Broihier ‘26. Additional pieces featured some of the greatest names in jazz, and as a holiday vocal treat, Music Department Director Devon Steve '13 sang a newer version of “Winter Wonderland” with the group.
