A Geography Bee and two Spelling Bees challenged students' skills and memory - on the school stage.
Seven middle schoolers put their geography knowledge to the test in this year’s Geography Bee. After several challenging rounds, Simon Prosak ‘30 secured 1st place and Sam Streem ‘29 earned 2nd place. All our finalists—Anush Andi ’31, Alexi Antoniades ’32, Will Bach ’29, Jack Dorsey ’30, Julian Son-Hing ’31, and Shail Vakharia ’32—showcased incredible knowledge and passion for geography. The annual GeoBee is designed to inspire and reward students' curiosity about the world, with questions covering geography, cultures, physical features, history, earth science, and current events.
Congratulations to Max Tian '29, our Middle School Spelling Bee Champion. After five rounds, in which 16 boys tackled increasingly challenging words, Max advanced to the Championship Round, where he spelled "Cherokee" to claim the title. Max and Taahir Shaikh ’30 will both be advancing to the regional qualifiers.
Congratulations to Neil Mehta '33 who correctly spelled "sanitation" to win the Lower School Spelling Bee. Dominic McCants ’34 earned second place after an impressive five-round face-off with Neil, following the elimination of all other contestants. Head of School Mr. Gallagher was the official bee pronouncer. Bravo to all 18 third- and fourth-grade boys who competed!
