Upper School Speech & Debate

In March, US sent 21 Speech & Debate competitors to the state tournament, these students qualified through their outstanding performances all season. The team placed 15th out of 89 schools and earned a Debate School of Excellence Award!

• Tejas Rajagopalan '26 & Vishaan Patel '26 – State Runners-Up, Policy Debate

• Zain Anwar '25 & Ryan Wang '25 – State Runners-Up, Public Forum Debate

• Zaid Ashruf '25 – 5th in Lincoln-Douglas Debate + Critical Thinking Scholarship

• Will Allen '26 & Colin Broholm '26 – Round of 16, Public Forum Debate

• William Pich '25 – Quarterfinalist, Program of Oral Interpretation

Zaid Ashruf '25, Cehan Ahmad '25, Nicholas Bricker '26, William Pich '25, and Shreyas Rajagopalan '27 have also qualified for the National Speech & Debate Association Tournament in June.
