Zain Anwar '25 and Vishwum Kapadia '25 were featured by Ideastream for Intersect STEM, a nonprofit they founded with Alex Vincenti '24, to inspire high schoolers to explore STEM careers. Through hands-on science workshops, they are bridging language and cultural divides to spark curiosity and empower Cleveland immigrant and refugee students in STEM learning.
“Our workshops are teaching these students to get interested in science and maybe in the future one day pursue a career in science,” Vishwum said, “And the other part of our program, which we are still working on, is the pilot program, which is where we will have students embark on their own scientific research, where they can pursue things that they're interested in and ideas from start to finish.”
