Responsive Classroom Training to All Lower School Teachers
Our lower school teachers are working together to further enhance our ability to support the social and emotional learning of our students. Responsive Classroom is a student-centered approach to teaching and discipline, offering research and evidence-based practices designed to develop safe, joyful, and engaging classrooms and school communities. While many of our teachers use Responsive Classroom principles in their classrooms, during the summer of 2021 our entire lower school faculty was trained to fully implement this approach. Brady Hurley, our Lower School Dean of Students, believes the Responsive Classroom approach to teaching and learning “allows boys to understand and live our motto while providing our teachers with a common language that begins with our youngest learners and remains consistent as boys move through their primary years.”
